I love this pan! I've been looking for one like it ever since I fell in love with one my mother has had for years. It's smooth sides and bottom makes it easier to clean than springform pans. With no springs to catch the sides or disrupt my "creation," the cheesecake is more under my control, resulting in a more beautiful presentation.

These pans are absolutely wonderful. Not only will they last longer than springform pans, but I've had much better results. I've been baking cheesecakes for years, though I've never cared much for bothering with a water bath or other fussy details. Using springform pans, I had about a 50/50 ratio of cracked cheesecakes. With these pans, the results are more like 90/10 - and the 10 have largely been my own fault (letting the cake cool too rapidly). They are easier to clean than springform pans - no scrubbing in the ridges to get those little crusties; and if you grease the pan before baking the cakes come off the pan like a dream - unlike the textured bottoms of most springforms. I would highly recommend these pans to anyone serious about cheesecake baking, or to anyone interested in getting serious. Springform pans are cheap for a reason - they wear out quickly and I've had problems with leaking. It can also be more difficult to get the cake out of or off of the pan. I LOVE the Parrish Magic Line.

I would definately buy this pan again. I was deterred at first by the price of this pan vs. a springform pan, but the more I read about the best pans to use for cheesecakes, the more I wanted the Magic Line pan. I bought it, plus the 10 x 3. The fit of the bottom to the sides of the pan is snug, but easy to remove. I simply ran a knife around the sides, sat the pan on a mug and slid the sides down. Another big plus for me was that the product was USA made. I considered the Fat Daddy line (due to the pans being slightly less expensive), but changed my mind once I found out they are made in China. Another plus for the Magic Line - a LIFETIME WARRANTY against warping, etc. I would definately buy this product again and plan to buy other pans in the Magic Line family of products in the future.
