These inexpensive, lightweight, durable, extremely versatile plastic pans can be used exactly like aluminum pans in a conventional oven as well as a microwave. Not sure this can be called a "cake" pan... Don't think you can make a cake (with a box mix) and fit it in this tiny pan. You could maybe buy two and make a two layered cake. I was planning on making a large number 3 cake for my sons birthday and this is not the pan to do that with...

Based on other reviews, I bought this pan as a smash cake for my son's 1st birthday. While it is a good size for a smash cake, the shape is more phallic than numerical, and required some shape modification to be appropriate for use as such.

I was worried that this pan would be a bit too big to make a smash cake for my client's daughter's first birthday. It's perfect! It holds about a cup and a half of batter, holds up well in the oven and is exactly what I needed! These size numbers would be great for anyone looking for a personal sized birthday cake.
