I own several Nordic Ware pans, but the details are just too subtle on this one. The leaves are not clear, even when dusted with some sugar. The reason I get detailed pans is that I am a bit too lazy for detailed icing, but that might do the trick to highlight the leaves and acorns. I have made it with Duncan Hines yellow cake as well as the gingerbread cake mix from Nordic Ware, and a pound cake mix--the details were about the same with all of them.
FRANFECTION
I like the pan; it bakes a good cake with good release. You can't really see the design that is supposed to be on the cake, which is the main reason I bought it. The cake basically looks bumpy. I don't think I will be buying any other specialty pans.

like the other comments, the details do not show up as cleary as they should be. I have tried with different cake recipies, and it looks bumpy. But the pan cooks very well. Must say I am disappointed as I was expecting a different look once done..
