Great Pans

I just love this set. The cook well and clean easy. Sometimes I just want to make a smaller cake and not the larger size ones. This one allows me to make one for myself and give the other to a friend. Or just cut my recipe in half and just make a smaller version of it. I love it.

Even though these pans are not as heavy as the traditional Bundt pans, I really like them. We have lots of friends who are "empty nesters" and cakes from these smaller pans are great for them. They are also nice for my husband and me -- we can eat one cake now and freeze the other for later. One regular cake recipe makes two of these smaller cakes.

Two 6-cup Bundt Pans

I love to bake, and to eat what I bake! These 6-cup pans are great for baking one recipe into two cakes without altering any measurements. One to give away, and one to eat - not so hard on the diet! I have had a 12-cup Bundt cast aluminum pan for many years, and never have had anything stick in it. All I have had to do is GREASE the pan. So foolishly I failed to read the directions on the wrapper of these pans and didn't notice that they must ALSO be floured. My first use of the pans was a mess - stuck like nothing I've ever baked before. I had to dig the cakes out with a spoon. I was very irritated until I found the little print on the wrapper and realized it was my failure to grease and FLOUR the pans that allowed them to stick. I tried again, properly preparing the pans, and they worked fine. If money were no object I would buy the CAST aluminum 6-cup pans in a flash, and give away these FORMED aluminum ones, as I really don't like to grease and flour all those little grooves. But since the formed ones are at least 3 times more expensive, I'll keep what I have - they were a great buy!My pans were both an intense lime green color, which I think is ugly. Also, the non-stick paint in the interior of the pans is white, which makes it really hard to see where you might have missed getting the surface greased and floured properly. The interior color would be a definite change they should make; the exterior really doesn't matter much.Great bargain!
