This is an excellent lid. I love that the lid is metal. It snuggly fits on the 9x13 inch Doughmakers cake pan. Though the metal for the lid is not as thick as the doughmaker pans, I wouldn't call it "thin." I believe this lid, like the doughmaker pans, will last a lifetime. I'm thrilled with my purchase. My only issue, the lid is not very high off the pan. Though it hasn't been a problem yet, there is not a lot of headroom between the rim of the pan and the top of the lid.
