I just made this shoe cake. It's so cute! I filled it pretty full with batter as I wanted it to crown over the top so I could cut it off level for standing. That's how it worked, too. The batter spilled over the edges and down the sides of the mold. I thought I had a bad mess to clean up, but the cake released from the edges of the pan very easily. The shoe released from the mold easily, too, with the use of baking spray. I would not use a fluffy soft cake recipe for this shoe as it needs something a bit firmer so the shoe will stand and not fall apart. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it's kind of small. Wish it were bigger.

Wasn't as large as it looks. It did not make a sturdy cake form to work with, very disappointed. I think the price for it now was over priced by $20 honestly.
