I'm a big fan of Nordicware, and when I saw this pan, I thought it would be perfect for making honey cake for Rosh Hashana ( Jewish New Year). So far, I've made 7 and more to go!! What a conversation piece!! I bought cake boxes and have been giving them away. Hope I'll have time to make one for us. I didn't try the recipe it came with, because I love the Honey Chiffon Cake from Norene Gilletz's "2nd Helpings" if you use your own recipe,it works better using no more that 7 cups of batter. Instead of making bees for decorations., I bought edible sugar bees (available on Amazon) I sprayed the pan with either Pam With Flour or Baker's Joy. The pan washes like a dream. I'm sure you'll "bee" happy with this sweet find!!!

If you have a collection of baking pans, you would want to add this particular one. It is unique in design and is baker friendly. I just baked the Honeycomb Pull-Apart Dessert (recipe included) and it turned out "bee-utifully!" The recipe was easy to follow and the cake did not stick to the pan at all. I liberally sprayed the pan with Baker's Joy (pan spray with flour)and when the cake was done, it slid out easily. Decorated with a few sugar bumble bees (available on Amazon as well) Bumble Bee 45222-2 Cake Dec-Ons Decorations 24 Pack [Misc.]and cake looked adorable!

My son has a hobby raising bees. His wife saw this pan online, and I found a great deal at Amazon. I purchased the pan and had it delivered to her directly as part of an anniversary gift.
