The cake pan is the perfect size for just a few people. We used it as our son's first birthday cake. We gave him the tail portion and my husband and I had cake for a few days. Definitely follow the baking directions that come with the pan and not the directions on the cake box, because it takes longer to bake in the plane pan than a traditional cake pan. It helped to grease and flour the pan for the cake to come out cleanly. The edges of the pan are somewhat sharp, so be careful when you're washing/drying it.

I ordered this cake pan after my son chose an airplane theme for his birthday three years in a row. I am very pleased. The pan is larger than I imagined, made a good-sized cake. It was very easy to decorate and it came with instructions and decorating ideas. He was thrilled. I am very pleased. Good value for its price. I will use it for my other son's first birthday soon.
