Product Info
The USA Pans 9" Round Layer Cake Pan is constructed of aluminized steel, the material of choice for commercial bakeries. The metal thickness has been selected to allow for even heat distribution and maximum service life. An important and unique feature of this pan is its corrugated design. Corrugation maximizes the pans strength and prevents warping, denting and other effects of everyday use. Plus, it also minimizes surface contact which translates into evenly baked products that are easily released. For additional strength, pan features rolled edges with internal steel wires. No need for messy and unhealthy oil and grease. This pan is coated with Americoat. Americoat is a proprietary silicone coating. It provides a clear, non-stick, non-toxic baking surface, specially formulated for superior baking. It's FDA approved; it does not contain PTFE's or PFOA's. It is not recommended to exceed baking temperature of 400 degrees F. Easy care. To clean, simply wipe clean after use; soap and water are okay to use. It is not recommended that pan be washed in dishwasher because harsh chemicals can cause the non-stick material to breakdown in time. Dry pan completely, after cleaning. USA Pans is the newest line of bakeware developed by American Pan, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial bakeware. Pans are made of 65% recycled steel. Made in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Pan measures 9" in diameter and 2" tall. Lifetime warranty.

I own a number of USA Pan products and can give an overwhelming 5-star review of each one except this one. Let me tell you what has happened. I used these pans maybe 5-6 times each...I have two. I read the directions and they have never seen higher than 350 degrees. They have been hand-washed each time and towel dried. One time while drying them I noticed an orange-brown stain on my towel and to my dismay, it was coming from the outside of the pan. The rust shows up where the rim rolls over to the outside of the pan. This area is not protected by the silicone coating and there is no way to get it perfectly dry in that tight area. I will try to post a picture of it later.I called USA pans and they paid for me to ship the pans to them and they would ship new ones to me. I received the new pans on day 1 rust showed up on what I thought were new pans. I don't know if it was already there, because I never thought to check a brand new pan. I contacted the company again and at this point they finally agreed to look at the design. I tried to tell them on my first conversation that it was a design flaw. Now apparently, they are in agreement.I still use the pans because I do want the non-stick benefit. But each time I wash and dry them, I have to shake them vigorously to get as much water out of the tight rim as possible. Then I take a paper towel and run it several times around the rim to get as much rust as possible. Your food items should never be affected by this, because it is clearly to the outside of the pan. That alone is what saved these pans from being one star.I struggled a bit with the rating, but because of all the trouble to keep the rust from getting out of hand, I decided that 2 stars was more accurate. I am really sorry that I have to be the one to rate these low, but I encourage anyone else who has these pans to check their rims and tend to the potential rust soon. My husband even suggested I use his air compressor to dry them. Bless his heart, but I will not go to that much trouble. USA pans NEEDS to address this issue!

I've been in the market for some real cake pans (heavy duty and straight edged, no more cheap ones that stack well, but ha e slightly sloped edges) I decided that rather than picking a brand and getting the sizes I wanted, I'd get one each of the two best reviewed brands I could find. After reading reviews, it came down to Parrish Magic Line and USA Pans, so I ordered a 9" pan of each and baked a layer cake. The USA Pans one came out great it was very evenly baked and even the top came out very level and even (I'd done the drop it on the counter from 3-4" up several times to even out and remove bubbles method for both cakes). The Magic Line pan's cake had higher center while I was peeking through the oven door during baking and then a significantly dipped center by the time it came out. The coloring was also uneven. If USA Pans came in a better assortment of sizes, I'd order more today. Unfortunately, all the USA Pans have are 2" deep 8, 9, and 10" pans whereas Parrish is available in 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3" depths and 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 15" diameter pans (possibly more, but those are the ones I know of with certainty). I'm definitely going to use USA for the basic sizes, but Parrish will work for the more varied sizes, I think. I'm ordering a 6" Magic Line one today and I'll update this is my experience with it is any different. Parrish Magic Line 9 x 3 Inch Round Aluminum Cake Pan

I am slowly changing out all my pans to USA pans. They are sturdy, well made and work great. I always try to buy products made in the USA if I can but will not compromise quality to do it.I am happy that with these pans I don't have to. Very pleased.
