I used this to make egg-shaped cakes for Easter last weekend. I followed the instructions and washed it before using them. I coated it thoroughly with cooking spray and floured them before filling with batter. I let them cool on a rack for a few minutes and they popped right out. My only complaint is they had faint indentations from the racks in my oven. This is my first time using a silicon baking dish so maybe that is typical? The frosting easily covered this imperfection so it was not a big problem.

I haven't tried baking in this mold so I can't comment on bake-ability. I bought them to freeze individual size portions of foods like mashed potatoes for my husbands lunches, they're a perfect size and easy to use. They are very flexible so you definitely need a tray under them no matter what you use them for. For my purposes the size works well, I make a big batch of things like mashed potatoes or pasta sauce, freeze them in the mold then store the 'egg' of food in a bag, this way when there's no leftovers in the fridge there's stuff available from the freezer for lunches. They clean up easy also.

I got this for making soap. It's pretty flimsy so you get indentations in the top from sitting on a hard surface like a counter top. I was hoping for a nice rounded look. I don't think I'll be able to use this much.
