I was very happy to discover that Amazon does send out the authentic, made in U.S.A. product. I ordered a number of Granite Ware pans and pots for my Sun and toaster ovens; they all arrived in great shape.Then I dropped one on a carpeted floor -- it fell about 30 inches -- and the brown enamel chipped off a corner. I believe that might not have happened had the pan fell on its side -- a corner is a vulnerable spot. Sadly, very few companies seem to make their products to have the best quality anymore -- except for Amish-type companies. I've found some wonderful and unique things in the Lehman's Non-Electric Catalog. I still recommend Granite Ware, even though the metal in their pans and the enamel on them should be thicker. Just treat them like glass pans and don't drop them. (P.S. Lehman's doesn't have better enameled pans; they sell the same brand.)
