I used this pant to make a gluten free birthday cake. Gluten free cooking can be very fussy, I chose a dense cake and first coated the pan with shortening getting in every crack then dusted it with fine white rice flour. I had no trouble with sticking. Used Pamela's Gluten Free Baking and Pancake Mix to make a banana cake from Pamela's web page. The cake shape was a hit with guests.

This is a great pan. I made a teddy bear for my daughter's first birthday. The only thing that I changed up is that I sliced off the ends of a jumbo marshmallow for the eyes and piped the pupils onto them. The cake looked fantastic, and a few people said it looked like a professional did it. The directions were easy to follow, and the pan cleaned up great. This was only the 4th cake I have done ( all Wilton pans) and I can't wait to do another one for my friend who is expecting a baby.

I used this pan for my daughter's first birthday cake. It worked very well, but I made the mistake of putting it in the dishwasher. The finish got destroyed and discolored. Dumb mistake. Otherwise it's a great pan. The cake came out adorable.
