I purchased this cake ring after receiving the Momofuku cookbook as a gift. If you've perused the book, you know that there are a lot of "extras" that one has to purchase in order to make almost any of the recipes inside. This cake ring is pretty much a perfect circle (the welded seam makes mine a wee bit pointy), and very solid which means it holds up well while being stored in my cabinet between baking sessions. The 3" height is just right for constructing the cakes with acetate, as prescribed in the book.

there are visible welding marks which made me think that the finished product would not come out as a perfect circle but the finished product was just fine
